Conventional diets generally don’t work because they put people on a regime of hunger and willpower that’s simply not sustainable. They also fail because they usually tackle only one or two areas of life – what you’re eating and how you’re moving – rather than treating the whole life and the whole person.
In 2008 I came across a healthy eating plan in The Netherlands. I was so taken by it and saw so many amazing results that I decided, together with my husband, to follow the programme.
The experience inspired me to train as a nutrition coach – so that I could share my knowledge with as many people as possible and give them the support that they need to regain their health. I undertook extensive training both in Holland and in the UK and now run my own practice from home, regularly speak on nutrition and have published 3 recipe books
Now my passion is food, health and helping other women regain the vitality they lost over years of caring for others...my purpose is to care for you...

All the recipes are simple and quick to make – they can be made if you can read a book and do basic kitchen techniques.
You and the family can all eat at the same time and eat the same foods. There will be new recipes for the family that will suit them too and they’ll enjoy too.
Most people are short of time but that be easily solved with a 7-minute work-out, strength exercise and home-based moving – it all counts. Those who don’t take time to exercise will take time to be ill…what’s your priority?

I have a very stressful job with long hours and little time to cook. When I met Leonie I lived on ready-males, chocolate, sweets, crisps and way too much wine. Although I exercised a lot, I had little energy and my mood left a lot to be desired. I needed help! Before I started the plan, Leonie explained everything to me so I knew exactly what to expect. Such a dramatic change to my life…I knew it would be hard but Leonie was there to support me every step of the way. I embraced the plan knowing I needed to change and my husband even converted too! We are now lighter, fitter, healthier and have so much more energy. (And I’m told my mood has eve improved substantially). I did the EatWright Plan because I was interested in Leonie’s approach to healthy eating. I already had a reasonably healthy diet, but knew I needed to reduce my sugar consumption. I had been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue in the past and had menopausal symptoms, and wanted to EatWright for better energy levels and less brain fog. I found the EatWright Plan easy to follow – Leonie gives lots of guidance, including clear menu plans and recipes. Adjustments to what I and the rest of the family were eating were straightforward to make.
It definitely helped my energy levels and feeling better all around. And some weight loss was an added bonus. Leonie’s recipe books, emails and Facebook lives help me to maintain my healthy eating now that I’ve finished the EatWright Plan and I know that I don’t feel as well when I sometimes slip back into my old ways.

I’m one of the people who’ve gone on various diets over the years, in fact, I did lose 5.5 stones in one year back in the early 2000’s by following a very strict low fat, low carbs regime. I have never put all that weight back on but I have, from time-to-time, seen the weight creep back up. And it has become increasingly difficult to get it off again, since the menopause.
I know that what absolutely works for me is cutting the carbs right back, avoiding bread, pasta, rice, potatoes and other startchy foods. I’m lucky that I don’t have a sweet tooth and if I do crave something sweet I’m happy to indulge in a nice piece of fruit but eat more vegetables so I’m confident I can keep my weight within acceptable parameter because of you, dear Leonie, showed me how to do so with the EatWright Plan.
